THE POWER TO PROTECT

Groundwater is a complex, and highly vulnerable resource. As much as there are laws that protect groundwater, it can only be truly protected when a community defines the land area that supplies water to the aquifer and restricts land uses in that "recharge area" that could pollute the resource. The POWER TO PROTECT is a 30 minute documentary with a companion handbook, produced for the US Environmental Protection Agency, that helps citizens begin the process of developing a local groundwater protection program.
